Let’s Talk Self-Care…

When you search Google for ‘self-care’, you get this:

“Self-care has been defined as the process of taking care of oneself with behaviors that promote health and active management of illness when it occurs.”

Everyday we are told self-care is going to the spa for a day, splurging the day away at target, or almost anything that involves spending money.

Is it just us or have you noticed this too?

Here at TSC we are firm believers that taking care of yourself should be priority, whether it be daily, weekly or monthly. Whatever it is that bring you moments of joy, peace and relaxation, you deserve it. If it soothes your mind, relaxes your body and gives you the opportunity to reset and refresh your mind, body and soul, it’s worth it.

Some of our favorite ways to practice self-care include but are not limited to:

  • Sleeping in

  • Making a quality meal

  • Meditating

  • Going for a walk

  • Journaling thoughts and ideas, plans for the future

  • Taking a bath with a good playlist to listen to

We challenge you to start prioritizing time for yourself today or this week, discover what self-care means for you and begin taking action.
